Imran asks Punjab to protest

In a series of tweets, he said that after failing to beat the PTI candidates in the Punjab by-polls, now politicians like Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari were using their ill-gotten wealth to buy the loyalties of PTI MPAs ahead of the election for the Punjab chief minister due to be held tomorrow (Friday, July 22, 2022).

The former premier said he would address the nation at 9:00 PM. “What is happening in Sri Lanka these days should serve as an eye-opener for those who are in the corridors of power and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) that the people of Punjab would not let them steal the mandate they had given to the PTI.

The former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday appealed to the people of Punjab that just like they had foiled the imported government’s attempts to rig the by-elections held on 20 Punjab Assembly (PA) seats on July 17, 2022, similarly today, too, they should come out on roads to protect the mandate they had given to the PTI from being stolen by ‘corrupt to the core’ politicians
