Imran finalizes 21-member Punjab cabinet

 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday finalized the 21-member Punjab cabinet.

Imran Khan addressed the ministers who joined the Punjab cabinet through a video link in the Chief Minister’s House while the final approval of the Punjab Cabinet will be announced tomorrow (Thursday) after the consultation of Imran Khan with Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and former federal minister Moonis Elahi.

The Punjab cabinet included Dr Yasmin Rashid, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, Murad Ras from Lahore, while Ali Afzal Sahi and Latif Nazar have also been included in the cabinet and Raja Basharat.

From South Punjab, Nawabzada Mansoor, Sardar Mohsin Leghari, Ghazanfar Abbas Cheena, Sardar Shahabuddin, Sardar Hasnain Bahadar Dreshak have also been inducted in the cabinet, while Sardar Majeed Niazi, Malik Taimur, Muneeb Cheema, Ali Abbas Shah will also be part of the cabinet.

Sardar Hashim Dogar, Sardar Asif Nakai, Raja Yasir Humayun, Khurram Shehzad Virk, Hussain Jahanian Gardezi are also included in the cabinet.21 nominated ministers participated in the video link meeting. Hussain Jahanian Gardezi could not participate in the video link meeting.

The Punjab cabinet includes Colonel Retired Muhammad Hashim Dogar (Interior Minister); Malik Taimur (Sports Minister).

Mian Mahmood ur Rasheed has been given the charge of Municipalities, Mian Aslam Iqbal has been awarded with the charge of Housing and Industries.

Dr Yasmin Rashid has been given the Ministry of Health, while Murad Raas has been given the portfolio of Ministry of Education and Raja Yasir Humayun has been assigned the portfolio of the Ministry of Higher education.

Sardar Mohsin Leghari is likely to be assigned with the portfolio of Finance Minister.
