PTI and PML-Q to carry a full scale protest in Punjab assembly’s budget session

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) on Sunday decided to stage a full scale protest in the budget session of the Punjab Assembly.

A joint meeting of PTI Punjab and PML-Q parliamentary party was held in the Punjab Assembly.

The meeting was chaired by Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, former Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Parliamentary Leader PTI Sibtain Khan.

In the joint-meeting the leadership condemned the arrests and cases of PTI members of the Provincial Assembly. An action plan was also worked out regarding the budget of Punjab.

The participants in the meeting expressed their determination to tackle the government tactics in the by-elections.

Later talking to media, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi while criticizing the incumbent government said that the government is going to further increase the prices of petrol and gas.

He added that police is running the government not Hamza Shahbaz. Punjab has turned into a police state.

The Punjab Assembly Speaker said that

“the government has lost its mind. What will happen if those who have to prepare the budget in the assembly will get arrested?”

“We firmly stand with Imran Khan,” he said.
