Shaukat Tarin no show in FIA probe, served another notice

 Federal Investigation Agency on Wednesday issued another notice to former Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin after he failed to appear before the agency on Wednesday.

According to details, the investigation agency, which is investigating in alleged audio leak regarding IMF program, has summoned him again at 11 am Thursday.

FIA warned that it would take action under section 174 in case of Tarin’s absence.

It merits mention that the FIA on Tuesday issued a notice to Shaukat Tarin and summoned him in the investigation of the leaked audio call.

Earlier, Shaukat Tarin had allegedly asked Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Ministers to backtrack from IMF commitments in order to pressurize federal government.

An audio clip had surfaced in which former finance minister was allegedly giving directions to provincial finance minister to derail International Monetary Fund deal.
