Bilawal reaches Cambodia to attend ASEAN foreign ministers’ meeting

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari along with a delegation reached Phnom Penh, Cambodia on Wednesday night.

Senior Cambodian officials and Pakistan ambassador-in-charge Babar Thaheem received the delegation at the airport.  

Foreign Minister Bilawal arrived in Cambodia to attend the 29th ministerial meeting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) being held from August 4-6.

The meeting will be attended by the foreign ministers and representatives of the 27 member countries including the coordinating council members of the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF).

The ASEAN Foreign Ministers will review the general situation of the region and discuss promoting mutual cooperation with Southeast Asian countries.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto during his three-day visit to Cambodia will meet the foreign ministers of various countries and the Prime Minister of Cambodia.

Bilawal will participate in deliberations on political and security issues of concern to Asia-Pacific aimed at promoting common solutions through dialogue and cooperation.
